Cange International, Inc.
Kimberly Benson is the Vice President of Cange International, Inc., an export management company and international business consultancy. Cange International specializes in assisting U.S. manufacturers of high end consumer goods with the commencement or expansion of their international sales. Cange International's major clients include Viking Range Corporation (Greenwood, Mississippi) and Northland-Marvel (Greenville, Michigan).
Prior to joining Cange International in 1991, Ms. Benson served as Senior Marketing Representative for the export credit insurance division of the Export Import Bank of the United States. Ms. Benson formerly resided in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she developed sales in U.S. and European markets for Consultores Economicos Financieros, an Argentine consulting firm and trading company. She has also assisted U.S. manufacturers with establishing joint ventures in Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Benson is fluent in Spanish.
In 2007 she was appointed by the U.S. Trade Representative and the Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Small and Minority Business. She is a member of the CalChamber Council on International Trade, Women in Business and the UCSD Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies Dean's Roundtable. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Youth Advocate Program. In 2002 she was recognized with a San Diego Women Who Mean Business award and in 2006 received the WORLD TRADE CENTER San Diego's Essence of World Trade award. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Westmont College (Santa Barbara) and a Masters degree in International Business Administration from West Coast University (Los Angeles).
